Architecture & Conservation | Tillamook, OR | In-Progress
In 1985, Tillamook’s 1941 post office was placed on the National Register of Historic Places and the building was converted to Tillamook City Hall in 1986. In 2017, the City of Tillamook engaged ARG to rehabilitate the building. This effort entails repair and rehabilitation of the building exterior and historic lobby (including stabilization of a Lucia Wiley mural), space plan improvements, structural upgrades, and installation of an accessible lift. As part of the process, ARG will coordinate with State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) to preserve the building’s historic character. The renovation is scheduled to be completed during the summer of 2019.
